I pass this sign every day on my bus run, and sorta chuckle every time I drive by it. The fact that someone would would actually put time and money into making this sign is commendable, I suppose. But I wish they would've put a little more time into it. Or maybe a little more money in replacing it. But alas, the sign is boldly in place, declearing its truth. I'm not entirely sure what declearing even means, but whatever it means I hope it's good. I googled it, and found only that it has something to do with an opaque type in pyrex. To me it sounds like a new sort of acne medication utilizing vitamin D. Anyways, I thought I'd share the chuckle.

High Voltage Youth - Water War!
This past Friday night was a Water War for our youth group. We had 30 take part. It was a blast - several have already asked when we can do it again! Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE ended up soaked! Great stuff...
Here I am, intensely engrossed in the beginning stages of the war.
Benny, with the biggest gun of the evening. This is the same model that Chad and I bought one summer for Youth Camp use while traveling for GBS. I was on Benny's team, let me tell ya.
Scott, with his weapon of choice.
A few guys brought a cooler filled with ice and water, and water balloons. They were freezing cold. They claimed to have 400 balloons in the cooler. Wow. Here was the location of the cooler. Unforunately, they were on the team opposite mine. They never ran out of ammo. Bummer for us.what a meal!
Mr. & Mrs. Furber - she is our principal for this year.
By the way, thanks to all of you for your great ideas. I ended up making devilled eggs (thanks, Melissa - Grandma Nichols' were always awesome!). I didn't have a whole lot of time and everything worked out perfectly. I am keeping your recipes in mind and hope to use them too sometime.

HELP!
This coming Thursday (Thanksgiving Day) we are having a Staff Thanksgiving Supper. I have signed up for several things, one of which is a favorite dish. Favorite dish? It's not like I've been cooking forever for these things... how am I supposed to know what a favorite dish would be??? No one else had signed up for it, so I thought surely I could come up with something. I signed up for it intending to ask my mom what to do for it (still probably will), but I am hoping that some of you may have ideas of things that are quick and delicious. With Thanksgiving being an American holiday, most of Cayman doesn't celebrate it. Thus, we have school and get out at 3:00. I usually do the bus run with Adam and we don't get home until a little after 4. The dinner is at 6, so I don't have a ton of time....what should I do???

Just one of the blessings of working with youth!
We received this beautiful card a little over a week ago from one of our core families. The Rodriguez family has 4 girls. Briana and Brenna are in our youth group. Briela is in my class. Bralea is in preschool, so we haven't really gotten to know her quite yet. They are a wonderful family. Bro. Helbert is the one that really made it possible to have our youth building wall built. Thank you Bro. & Sis. Rodriguez and family. We love and appreciate you, too!
Fall...
It wasn't until about 2 weeks ago that I really got in the mood to pull out my decorations for the fall. Back home the weather begins to change, as do the leaves and that is what causes me to pull them out at home. I stopped over to the yankee candle store and bought 2 candles. They were buy one get one half! Anyway, it only took a little time of burning those and I was ready! These pics don't do justice, but this gives you a glimpse of fall at my house! Notice the door welcome sign isn't on the door. I had it there at first, but it fell off so I decided to bring it inside the front door. Plus, I was afraid that the sun might fade it... :)
