Baby Shower - July 24

Aunt Stephanie is going to have way too much fun! This was the cute onesie that she got for little p. Among other things, she gave her her first 2 piece bathing suit! The pic didn't turn out the greatest or I'd have put that one up instead. Oh well, I'll be sure to get a pic of little p in it next summer and post on here!
A few weeks ago the church threw me a baby shower. It was so much fun, the food was awesome and the decorations were so pretty! Thanks, ladies!

Cincinnati Fun!

Elliott is getting so big!

Grandpa reading to Elliott...he loves it!

Adam's favorite Cincinnati tradition and his favorite pizza in the world...no, universe! He hopes Buddy LaRosa will go to Heaven so we can have LaRosa's pizza at the supper. =)

I went over to see my Grandma while we were there. We enjoyed a late breakfast together, and my cousin Sarah Ann came to join us and brought her little boy Charlie. It was great fun and food! Thanks, Grandma!

Lunch with friends

A couple of weeks ago we headed for Cincinnati to visit with Adam's family for a few days. On the way there we stopped in Franklin to have lunch with our friends Matt, Erika and Hannah Deuel. We met at Applebee's and had a nice time together!

Cridersville Jamboree

A few weeks back we enjoyed the Fireman's Jamboree for the town where my sister and her family live. It is a fun time when the Fire Department sets up rides for the kids, food booths, and other things where they make their money for the year. On Saturday, Adam and Greg participated in a cornhole tournament. They placed in the top 6 and had lots of fun doing it!

July 4th celebrations

This was Allison's first Independence Day. She was mesmerized by the fireworks!

The boys were having so much fun!

Greg's 34th Birthday

On the last Saturday of Pilgrim Camp this year was Greg's 34th birthday. After a long day we celebrated by eating supper at Applebee's. Right as we were finishing up there, I took the kids outside where I gave them silly string so they could spray their dad. During the time I was getting all that ready with them, Adam came out and he and I proceeded to write on the van windows all sorts of birthday wishes! After we left there we headed back to the camper for cheesecake (Greg's favorite) and coffee and presents.

They got him good!

Fun times!

Pilgrim Camp 2008

good ol' sue

Here is a picture of our newly acquired truck. Traditionally, I always name my vehicles. My first car was a Dodge Shadow, which I named "The Shadow." Original, yeah, I know. Next was my Ford Ranger, named "Bill," as Ranger Bill was the only ranger I knew. After that I got a Ford Explorer that I dubbed "Meriwether" in honor of Lewis of the famed duo "Lewis and Clark." So, when we bought this Dodge Ram, we began to think of a fitting name for it. Rather quickly, the name "Sue" came to Val's mind. So, in honor of a large singer who can't sing, our truck is named "Sue."

long time no posties

I have absolute no reason to post. Well, I do have reason to post, but no pictures that illustrate the said reason. So, I looked through my phone and found this pic of me at Texas Roadhouse last week some time. Greg and I went there. It was good.
And so, somehow, this has perhaps filled the posting void that existed.

Mr. Fix-It

Val uploaded these pics, but now she's on the phone, so I'll put some words here. Arriving back to our house that has been empty for the last 10 months presented us with a few need-to-be-fixed items. She snapped pics of two, shown here.

I had purchased this new deadbolt soon after we moved into our house (Dec. 05). I bought a new doorknob at the same time and put that on immediately. But the deadbolt just sat around. I finally installed it this week. After removing the old one, I had to re-size the hole for this one to fit. I could've just bought a new door, but I guess this is cheaper. And it was fun. And you don't have to have a key to unlock it from the inside anymore.

Today I replaced one of our porch lights. I had installed new porch lights not that long ago. I think it was last summer, actually. But sometime over the course of this past year, the dusk-to-dawn sensor on the left porch light had blown up. Well, it looked kinda like it did. Maybe it melted. It looked like that, too. In any case, you can't buy a new sensor - you have to buy a whole new light. So I had to hack into my house's ancient wiring and hook up a new light. Two new fingers later, it works.

Here's what I was saying about the new fingers. My ever-so-sharp utility knife enjoyed meeting two of my fingers while slicing through the electrical tape around the old wiring. As I began slicing the fatal slice, the thought went through my mind: I'm gonna slice my finger right here. But I sliced anyways. Ouch. But oh well. They'll grow back.

I also fixed our toilet, but Val was sleeping the whole time so she didn't get any pics. It's a toilet. And you know what I look like. So, feel free to imagine the pic if you want to. And I know you're not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition, but I did it anywayzers.

Back in the swing of things... =)

Last summer Adam had the privilege of playing on a church league with my brother-in-law Greg. They had a really good time, and were asked back for this summer! These pics were at Adam's second game.

All tuckered out...and not feeling well =(
