Today was Thursday. It still is, actually. But this evening, I had fun. The wife and I, along with Nathan, Jennifer and Steve flew kites. They had the kites - five of them. I'm not sure I remember the last time I flew a kite. I remember flying a kite, but the time I remember was somewhere around 10 years ago, and I'm sure I must've flown a kite since then. Anyways, it was loads of fun! We extended one kite's string twice, making its elevation somewhere around 1500 feet! (I'll try to add pictures later.) It was something to behold. Especially if you were the one holding it. It got cold, and the mud and water in my shoes was getting mushy, so we left and got some supper. When we got home, we video-chatted with my parents for a while, and now I am going to bed. A good day, all in all.

My Eternal Flame
I can create an eternal flame, but I cannot seem to regularly post to my blog. This really does not bother me, except that it does. So, taking my motivation from this flame, I will now attempt to post to this blog regularly. Or at least more regularly. Or at least occasionally. We'll see.

A not-so-up-to-date but oh-so-classic picture of the Nichols' family.
See what I mean?
Evan is the most photogenic-while-swinging person I know.
Evan's first day of school;
Valerie's first day of teaching.
Here is Valerie with her newest niece, Olivia.
Here is what the new flooring looks like!
Just a bit nicer than the old flooring.
This November was "Home Improvement Month"
for us, as we put down new wood laminate
flooring in our kitchen and dining room.
While on a Youth Group Trip, we stopped
at Starbucks (one of those luxuries we do
without while Lost In Middle America).
