FINALLY!!!!!

Ahhhh :)

Last Friday night, Adam and I went on our first date since being here in Cayman. We had planned to go to the local grocery store to get a big salad off of the bar, but when we got there we realized it wasn't at all what we were thinking. Anyway, we went to Burger King, grabbed some supper and headed for the beach to watch the sunset. The sun goes down early here...around 6:30 is a beautiful dusk time. We had such a nice, relaxing time by the water! Thanks, Adam!

This one is for you, dad!!!

Ok, as soon as we got to the beach we pulled off the side of the road. Not sure what Adam was going to do, but he pulled into the sand like he was going to turn around. We got stuck, just like you would in the snow! Anyway, we called Ron and he and Steve and the kids came by with the other van and pulled us out! By the way, yes, this is our beautiful transport!!!

First Day of School.....

These aren't the greatest pics, but they do show you my students and some of my classroom. I have already changed the set-up of my desks, so I'll try to post more pics later.

This is where we live. Our apartment is on the bottom left floor. Here it was all shuttered up and ready for Dean.

Just incase!

All tuckered out...

I must say that our living room no longer looks like this...

Our bedroom

These are just raw pictures. I still have to paint the bedroom, put up curtains, and put the "extras" away. These are just the pictures I have already. I'll try to post more when it is like it will be for good.

Guests Welcome!!

This is our newly painted guest bedroom. Adam's choice was "orange ice" as the color for the room. It is a very bright and cheery room. You are now welcome to come visit anytime. The bed is made and ready for you!

Bad luck =(

This is a funny story. Adam and his dad were messing around with the back of the washer (which is in the main room - living room and kitchen combined) because it had a leak. Ron had been messing with it first and then Adam began to toy with it. When he started, Ron told him to be careful not to break it. Adam quickly replied with "Hey, I didn't say that to you when you were messing with it." It was all in sort of a joking way, but hardly 3 seconds got by from when Adam said that to when the pipe broke and sprayed water all over Ron! It was hilarious! Anyway, the pipe broke back in the cement wall, so they had to quickly go turn off the water and Steve Craig came to the rescue and gave it a quick fix until morning when he could go get parts to fix it permanently. It was nice that things went wrong when they did because we ended up getting some new things that needed to be replaced anyway! The hot water heater broke a few days before this happened. Needless to say, we got a new one out of that deal too!
Thanks Steve for all of your help with this old apartment!

Thanks a bunch!

This is Becky Profitt (my mother-in-law) taking a much needed and deserved break. I wanted to say a huge 'thank you' to them for all their help and hard work in getting us moved in. Thanks so much mom and dad, we love you.

Just moving in...

A very excited Adam...obviously!

We are in Cayman!

This is just a post to let you know that we are in Cayman. We have been since this past Monday. We have internet access at home, but blogger happens to be a site that is blocked with our software. Hopefully I will be able to unblock it tonight, at which time we will be able to keep up at this website.

We have already had many things happen to tell of (and I think we have pics, too) so hopefully we will get going here soon.
